Imagine Eglinton
In February, the Crosstown launched the “Imagine Eglinton” drawing contest, inviting children to envision what Eglinton Avenue will look like when the Crosstown LRT is complete.
The artwork from the selected submissions will be turned into banners and placed all along Eglinton Avenue.
The contest was a huge success! We received more than 100 entries, with the majority submitted by children aged between six and nine.
MPP Mike Colle, Councillor Josh Colle and Councillor Joe Mihevc, as well as Judy Pfeifer, Metrolinx’s Chief, Communications and Public Affairs, made up the judging panel.
Sixteen winners were selected, and the artists and their families were invited to an awards ceremony on June 2 at the Fairbank Public School.
We want to congratulate the winners and all the children for participating!
The banners will be installed along Eglinton Avenue in the summer.
Keep an eye out for them! And send us pictures.
