Gas Main Support at Laird Station

To prepare for upcoming mining operations at Laird Station, micro piles will be drilled to the north of the Laird Station Secondary entrance. Micro piles will support local gas mains during mining. 

Hours of Work/ What to Expect 

  • Work begin as soon as early June 2017 and will take approximately four weeks to complete.
  • Work is permitted to occur between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
  • Work to commence upon completion of installation of site trailers and crane.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Work zone set up will be left in place until work is complete. 

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Two eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes will be maintained.
  • The eastbound curb lane in front of the secondary entrance will be closed. 
  • Existing pedestrian walkway closures at Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue East remain in place.
