Traffic and Pedestrian Changes at Fairbank Station

What Work is Taking Place? 

As early as December 2, crews will begin implementing traffic changes at the intersection of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West to accommodate the ongoing support of excavation activity. Lane shifts and changes to pedestrian routes will be in effect.

Please carefully review the map and traffic details.

Hours of Work 

  • Starting as early as December 2 for approximately two (2) months
  • Traffic setup will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Permitted hour for support of excavation work are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances

What to Expect

  • Pedestrians and road users can expect delays while traffic changes are being implemented.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Traffic on Dufferin Street will be shifted to the west side, one lane in each directiion
  • The southeast sidewalk will be closed from Dufferin Street to east of the Main Entrance. Pedestrians will be re-routed south and around the main entrance work site (see map).
  • For pedestrians looking to cross north-south on Eglinton, the east crosswalk at Dufferin Street will close and the west crosswalk will open.
