Temporary Lane Reduction at Chaplin Station Week of July 29, 2019

A temporary lane reduction will be in at Chaplin Station the week of July 29, 2019, while crews construct a pedestrian walkway and install a dewatering pipe.  Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only between Gilgorm Road and Latimer Avenue, alternating traffic in each direction using a Paid Duty Officer and/or traffic control personnel.  At the end of each shift, the area will be plated and one lane of traffic on each direction will be restored.

  • Beginning the week of July 29, 2019 for approximately three (3) days
  • 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

 What to Expect

  • Traffic on Eglinton Ave will be reduced to one lane only between Gilgorm Rd and Latimer Ave, alternating traffic in each direction using a Paid Duty Office and/or traffic control personne
  • Noise from construction activity can be expected
  • One lane off traffic in each direction will be restored at the end of each shift
  • Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection
