What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday, August 29, 2019, crews will perform a concrete pour in the work zone south of the Eglinton West subway station. The concrete will form part of the structure on the east side of the TTC station box.  Two concrete pumps will be set up within the work zone, and concrete trucks will stage on the east side of Allen Road southbound while this work takes place. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 6:00 a.m.

  • Thursday, August 29, 2019 beginning at 6:00 a.m. for approximately eight (8) hours
  • In the event of inclement weather this activity will be rescheduled

What to Expect
  • Two concrete pumps will be stationed inside the work zone.
  • 4+ concrete trucks are expected per hour.
  • Concrete trucks will stage on the east side of Allen Road southbound.
  • Noise from construction activity can be expected.
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.
