Extended Hours for Manhole Construction

What Work is Taking Place?

Beginning as early as January 11, 2019, crews will work extended hours to complete manhole construction at the southeast corner of the intersection.  Work will be carried out between 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday, and between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.  While every effort will be made to minimize disruption caused by this work, some noise and lighting can be expected.

The manhole is part of the construction of a new storm sewer system that began in fall of 2017.  Completion of the storm sewer system is necessary to complete shallow excavation activities on the southeast side of Eglinton Ave.

Hours of Work

  • Friday January 11, 2019 for approximately three (3) weeks
  • Monday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.
  • Sundays, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

 

 

What to Expect

  • Noise from excavation, a forklift and tools can be expected
  • Site lighting can be expected
  • Work will take place within the existing work zone on the southeast corner of Mt Pleasant Rd and Eglinton Ave E
