Overnight Hydro Utility Installation Work at Mount Pleasant Station Wednesday April 10, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

On Wednesday April 10, crews will work overnight to complete installation of a hydro utility cable at the intersection of Mt Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.  This work will be carried out between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when traffic is lighter, as a closure of the northbound lane on Mt Pleasant Rd is required.

Reissue: Traffic Configuration Change at Mt. Pleasant Rd and Eglinton Ave E April 5, 2019

On Monday April 5, 2019, crews will implement a new traffic configuration at the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.  Traffic on Mt. Pleasant Rd will be shifted to the east onto the recently installed traffic bridge (notice issued March 22, 2019).  The bridge allows construction to continue underground, while traffic travels safely over top.  The configuration is expected to be in place through spring 2019.

Lane Reductions to facilitate Civil Road Work at the North East Corner of Pharmacy Intersection

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be continuing civil road work activities along Eglinton Avenue East. Starting as early as Monday, April 8 and lasting for approximately five (5) days, crews will be conducting curb installation at the north east corner of Pharmacy Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East. 

In order to facilitate this work, there will be temporary lane reductions at north east corner of Pharmacy Avenue. Read more »

What Work is Taking Place?

In April 2019, crews will be resuming work at the Tertiary Entrance site, located east of Chaplin Crescent on the south side of Eglinton Avenue adjacent the old Toronto Fire Hall.  The site will be used for trucks, equipment and material storage.  Read more »

Upcoming South Sidewalk Closure - Sinnott Rd to Birchmount Rd - April 15, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be conducting civil road work in relation to road widening works on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East between Sinnott Road and Birchmount Road.  Starting as early as April 15, 2019 and lasting for approximately one (1) month.

There will be a sidewalk closure on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East between Sinnott Road and Birchmount Road in order to safely carry out the work. Read more »

Tower Crane Installation at Cedarvale Station

What Work is Taking Place?

To accommodate excavation activities and upcoming station construction for the new Cedarvale LRT Station, crews will be installing a tower crane adjacent the Eglinton West Subway Station. The crane is approximately 15 metres tall, has a jib that extends to 40 m, and a maximum capacity of approximately 20 metric tonnes.

As decking nears completion at Eglinton Avenue and Holly Street, crews will be moving the work zone to the north side of Eglinton Avenue between Holly Street and Dunfield Avenue. The next phase (depicted below) will take approximately 2-3 months to complete.
