Temporary Traffic Changes at East Don River Bridge to Facilitate Early Morning Deck Pour

What Work is Taking Place?

The East Don River and Wynford Drive Bridges are being rehabilitated as part of the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Works include deck replacement, reinforcement, and repairs to the supports and beams to both bridges.

As part of the ongoing works crews will be conducting deck pouring at the East Don River Bridge. This work is scheduled to start as early as Saturday, September 22nd  — to facilitate this work there will be a temporary traffic staging. Read more »

Update: New Traffic Changes from Victoria Park Avenue to Birchmount Road to Support Surface Section Work

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be conducting traffic changes in order to accommodate road widening, upgrading and relocating wet utilities and dry utilities along Victoria Park Avenue to Birchmount Road starting as early as Friday, September 21st.

Preparatory work for the reconfiguration will take place as early as Friday, September 21, 2018 starting at 7:00 PM and ending Monday, September 24, 2018 at 6:00 AM. Read more »

As work intensifies along the surface portion of the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project in preparation for guideway construction, there will be some major changes.

Expect to see new traffic changes between Victoria Park and Birchmount beginning less than a week from today — as early as Friday, September 21, 2018. Read more »

Installation of Temporary Traffic Signals at North and South Service Roads at Kennedy Station

What Work is Taking Place?

In support of construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be installing new traffic signals 160m east of Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East.

Crews will install temporary traffic poles at each corner of the Service Roads, east of Kennedy Road, and then hang cables and new temporary traffic signals between the poles. Following installation, the temporary signals will be tested. Read more »

Large Deliveries at East Don River Bridge

What Work is Taking Place?

The East Don River and Wynford Drive Bridges are currently being rehabilitated as part of the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Works include deck replacement, reinforcement and repairs to the abutments and beams to both bridges.

To facilitate the safe and timely delivery of steel plates for girders to the construction sites for the East Don River Bridge, starting as early as Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11 AM. Traffic interruptions can be expected while this delivery takes place. Read more »

UPDATE: Upcoming Traffic & Pedestrian Changes at Eglinton Station

What Work is Taking Place?

Support of excavation work, also known as shoring, has commenced to make way for the future Eglinton interchange station. This work will include pile installation, jet grouting and road deck installation. Shoring at the TTC bus depot and along south side of Eglinton has been complete. The work is carried out along the north side of Eglinton.

The next phase (depicted below) will take approximately 3-4 months to complete. The entire shoring process will take approximately twenty-four (24) months to complete. Read more »
