Special Pile Installation at Chaplin Station
WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
Crews are currently completing support of excavation (or shoring) on the north side of Eglinton. As part of this work, two special polymer piles (vertical steel beams) will be installed. Special polymer piles are large in depth and size. Therefore, a longer drilling and concrete pouring period is required. To ensure the structural integrity of each pile, once installation begins, it cannot be stopped. Read more »
UPDATE: Overnight Work for GO Transit Improvements at Kennedy and Partial Closure of Southern Section of East Platform

What Work is Taking Place?
Kennedy Station and its environs are changing every day.
As part of GO Transit Improvements at Kennedy, crews will close a southern portion of the existing east platform on the Stouffville Line as early as Monday, February 19, 2018 to facilitate shoring for the GO underpass, the construction of a new pedestrian underpass, and the shoring for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Box under the GO corridor. Overnight Piling Work February 28 for Science Centre Station
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will be drilling piles within the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East intersection as part of the Support of Excavation work at the future Science Centre Station.
Due to the location of the piles and in an effort to minimize disruption to local traffic and commuters work will be performed overnight on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The intersection will be restored in advance of morning rush hour. Read more »
Upcoming Works at Eglinton Station: Next Phase of Support of Excavation
What Work is Taking Place?
Support of excavation work, also known as shoring, has commenced to make way for the future Eglinton interchange station. This work will include pile installation, jet grouting and road deck installation. Shoring will be conducted in phases, beginning in the former TTC bus depot on the southeast corner of Yonge and Eglinton and along the south side of Eglinton Avenue between Duplex Avenue and Holly Street. Mining Equipment Mobilization - 24 Hour Work - Avenue Station Main Entrance
WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
Mining operations will begin at the Avenue Station Main Entrance in Spring 2018. The mining equipment is planned to be delivered to the site during the weekend of March 2 – 4.
In order to lower the heavy mining equipment to the bottom of the Main Entrance shaft, a temporary crane will be erected on Eglinton Avenue. This crane will take up one additional westbound lane of traffic, just west of Avenue Road. Read more »
Overnight Line Re-Painting at Leaside Station
WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
Leaside station crews will complete a refresh to the crosswalks and lines in and around the Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East intersection. Due to the volumes of traffic in the area and existing construction set up reducing available lanes, these works will be completed during the overnight period.
