Shoring at Chaplin Station Main Entrance

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Support of excavation (or shoring) continues at Chaplin Station. At the Main Entrance site, located on the northeast corner of Chaplin and Eglinton, there are some piles that remain to be installed.

As early as Wednesday, March 14, crews will begin piling activities at the Main Entrance. The drill will cross Eglinton to the Main Entrance site as early as Monday, March 12.

Resumption of Storm Sewer Installation at Mount Pleasant Station

What Work is Taking Place?

In December 2018, crews began installation of a new storm sewer along the south side of Eglinton Avenue East.  Beginning March 8, storm sewer installation will resume.  The storm sewer will be installed using a hand-mining method whereby pipe is hydraulically pushed through the soil from the shafts at Taunton Road and Brownlow Avenue while soil is simultaneously removed.  Once the pipe installation is complete, connection work will be performed to connect the new storm sewer to the existing storm infrastructure. Overnight Road Repair Work Starting March 12 - Traffic Lane Reductions at Don Mills & Eglinton

What Work is Taking Place?

Ongoing road maintenance continues around the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East intersection. The rebuilding of catch basins on Eglinton Avenue East between the DVP and Don Mills Road will start on Monday, March 12, 2018 for approximately one week.

To minimize traffic disruption for the community, transit users and local businesses, this work is being done overnight.

LOW WATER PRESSURE NOTICE: Watermain Connection Work for Science Centre Station

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews are working to replace an existing watermain north of Eglinton Avenue East within the existing work zone at the northeast corner of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East. This work supports the upgrade of existing water infrastructure around the future Science Centre Station.

Starting in mid-March for approximately three (3) weeks, work to connect the new watermain section to the existing infrastructure will take place. During these works, residents in the catchment area may experience lower than normal water pressure. Read more »
