What Work is Taking Place? 

Crews will be working in the rail corridor to relocate the CP Mainline Track to the West of its current position. This work involves building track, including cutting, drilling, surfacing, ballast regulating, and thermite welding.  Portions of the work will require compaction by means of mechanical roller causing vibrations, these activities are anticipated to begin October 31st and will run until approximately November 17.

 Hours of Work

  • The hours of work are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm from Oct 30th to Nov 10th, with the exception that there may be a night work shift (6:00 pm to 6:00 am) on Nov 8 and 9th.  This overnight work has not yet been confirmed and is subject to change. 
  • As a contingency, additional work may be required from Nov 10th to Nov 17th from the hours of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. 

What to Expect

  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise and feel vibrations related to the equipment used to level the ground and the track.
