What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Thursday,November 17, 2022, crews will begin to demolish the building at 6 Gilgorm Road located north of the Chaplin Station Main Entrance. The demolition works will take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activity, including the use of an excavator, crane, and trucks, can be expected. Fencing, barriers, and filter cloth will be installed to delineate the demolition work zone. Once the building is demolished, crews will begin landscaping works for the Chaplin Parkette.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Thursday, November 17,, 2022, between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., for approximately two (2) weeks
- This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work
- Gilgorm Road will remain closed while this work takes place
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The sidewalk adjacent to 6 Gilgorm Road will be closed while this work takes place
- No other changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
