What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday, November 24, 2022, crews will demolish the tower crane foundations at Chaplin Station’s Main and Third Entrances. Chipping is required to complete this work. Chipping is the process of using an excavator and jackhammer to remove concrete and hardened material. This work will take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) week. Noise and vibration can be expected.

What to Expect

Noise and vibration from construction activity, including chipping of concrete, can be expected.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Thursday, November 24, 2022, between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., for approximately one (1) week   
    • Demolition of the crane foundation at the Main Entrance is expected to start on Thursday, November 24, 2022, for approximately four (4) days
    • Demolition of the crane foundation at the Third Entrance is expected to start on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, for approximately three (3) days
    • This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration or pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
