What Work is Taking Place?
As early as, Monday, November 7, 2022, crews will be performing driveway restoration works at 2233 Eglinton Avenue East. To facilitate this work safely, the east driveway at 2233 Eglinton Avenue East will be closed. The west driveway at 2233 Eglinton Avenue East will remain open. The sidewalk at the east driveway of 2233 Eglinton Avenue East will be closed. Pedestrians will be safely rerouted around the work zone. Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane at the east driveway of 2233 Eglinton Avenue East. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. This work is expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for approximately three (3) weeks.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities, including concrete breaking and pouring, can be expected. Traffic barrels, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate work zones. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Expect delays while travelling through the area. The sidewalk will reopen upon completion of the work. Affected properties have been notified directly.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday, November 7, 2022, for approximately three (3) weeks.
- This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
- This work may be longer or shorter than expected.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- The east driveway at 2233 Eglinton Avenue East will be closed.
- The west driveway at 2233 Eglinton Avenue East will remain open.
- Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane at the east driveway of 2233 Eglinton Avenue East.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The sidewalk at the east driveway of 2233 Eglinton Avenue East will be closed.
- Pedestrians will be safely rerouted around the work zone.
