What Work is Taking Place?

  • Crews will drill boreholes in the road to determine the condition of existing soil, rocks and utilities in the area. Boreholes will be drilled along Eglinton Avenue East from Leslie Street to the Don Valley Parkway, and on Don Mill Road from Eglinton Avenue East to Wynford Drive.

Timing

  • Works will begin as early as the beginning of November 2016 and continue intermittently for approximately seven weeks.
  • Work will be conducted between the hours of approximately 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise related to drilling, saw-cutting, and the use of heavy equipment.

Traffic and Pedestrian Details

  • Intermittent lane reductions can be expected with this work. Equipment and work trucks will be present along Eglinton Avenue East and Don Mills Road, as crews move from one hole to the next.
  • Pedestrian and property access will be maintained.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
