What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday, November 10, 2022, crews will install guardrails on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue East, between Sloane Avenue and Jonesville Crescent. To facilitate this work safely, the sidewalks on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue East will be periodically closed. Work will begin on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East and progress to the south side; the north and south sidewalks will not be closed at the same time. This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) day. 

 

What to Expect

Noise from construction equipment including trucks and hammering can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the area. Temporary pedestrian rerouting will be in effect. Access to private properties will be maintained. 

 

 HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Thursday, November 10, 2022, between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) day 
  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work 

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The sidewalks on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue East will be periodically closed between Sloane Avenue and Jonesville Crescent during this work
