Inner Wall Demolition at Avenue Station

What Work is Taking Place? 

Mining excavation is nearing completion at Avenue Station, with crews breaking-out the remaining inner walls between Eastbourne Avenue and Lascelles Boulevard.

Intermittent wall demolition works will continue through to approximately late-May 2020, with crews operating 24-hours a day, five (5) days a week. Once these works are complete, permanent works, including final lining and concrete pours, will commence east of the secondary entrance. Read more »

UPDATE:Concrete Pour at Avenue Station: May 11, 2020

What Work is Taking Place? 

As early as May 11, 2020 crews will perform a concrete pour at the main entrance of Avenue Station. The concrete will form one of the permanent station structures underground. To safely carry out the works, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at the Main Entrance. The pour will begin at 10:00 a.m. and take approximately five (5) hours to complete.  After each pour is complete, the lane will re-open.

Boulevard Restoration Works at 2354-2356 & 2360 Eglinton Ave East

 

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing construction for the future surface alignment of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be performing boulevard restoration works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East between Rosemount Drive and Ionview Road. Partial or full driveway closures may be required to perform grading works to align driveways with the new road surface on Eglinton Avenue East.

Driveways may be restricted partially or fully beginning May 6, 2020 for up to three (3) weeks.
