What Work is Taking Place? 

To accommodate the underground structure of Forest Hill Station, existing utility services must be relocated. On Wednesday, October 4, 2017, crews will access the manhole located in the middle of Eglinton Avenue West, just east of Bathurst St.  During this time, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one single lane. To minimize disruption, this work will be completed at night when traffic volumes are reduced.

This work will be performed overnight to minimize disruption to traffic.  

Hours of Work

  • Wednesday, October 4, beginning at 9:00 p.m. through to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

 What to Expect

  • Low to medium noise levels from trucks and pumps can be expected.
  • Sight lighting can be expected.
  • Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection.
  • Paid duty officers will be on site, directing traffic.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one single lane.
  • All sidewalk paths will be remain open as in their current state.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near construction zones.
