What Work is Taking Place?

In order to prepare for construction of Eglinton Station, crews have relocated water mains and sewers at the Yonge-Eglinton intersection to allow for piling and excavation works. In order to complete the next stage of the work, crews will be connecting the new temporary main with the existing site service connections. The following properties may lose water service during the connections:

20, 30, 40, and 50 Eglinton Avenue East

Hours of Work

  • The connections will require up to 2 nights of work.
  • Crews will begin working on the connections on Thursday, March 15th from 9pm until Friday, March 16th at 6am.
  • Confirmation that a second night of work will be required will be communicated Friday morning.
  • Please note that work could be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Water service may be lost for the properties identified above.
  • Construction zones will be instated along Eglinton Avenue.
  • Residents and businesses near construction sites should anticipate minimal noise from excavators, bobcats, and other construction equipment caused by the service connections and removal of debris.
  • All access to businesses is maintained throughout the stages.
