WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

  • In preparation for the next phase of shoring works at Cedarvale Station, crews need to cap and remove an old watermain that runs under the current Eglinton Avenue westbound lane.
  • Crews will be occupying a lane on Eglinton Avenue West from Park Hill Road to Allen Road North (in front of the TTC station) to accommodate this work.

TIMING

  • The lane reduction is scheduled nightly from November 5 – 10.
  • Work will be completed during the overnight hours of 9:00PM to 5:00AM to reduce the impact on daytime traffic hours.
  • Work may be delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Park Hill Road to Allen Road North for the duration of the work.
  • Nearby residents can expect to experience noise and vibration from the use of a mini-excavator, a saw cutter, and a compaction machine.
  • The roadway work zones will be covered with metal plates during the daytime when crews are not accessing the watermain.

TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT ACCESS

  • Access to the Allen Road ramps and the TTC Eglinton West Subway Station will be maintained at all times.
