What Work is Taking Place?

Beginning as early as July 20, crews will be performing water main service work in the vicinity of Mt. Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.  

Crews will trench along the sidewalk on the north west side of Eglinton Avenue East to expose the water main to cut-and-cap the water main in advance of piling in the roadway.

The following properties may experience intermittent water service and/or pressure interruptions of approximately 20 minutes on Saturday July 22 and Sunday July 23, between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, while this work takes place:

220, 234, 240, 244, 250, and 254 Eglinton Avenue East

Timing

  • Starting July 20 for approximately one (1) week, including weekends. 
  • Work is permitted between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, 7 days a week. 
What to Expect 
  • Pedestrian rerouting around work zones can be expected. 
  • Noise from construction activity and equipment can be expected.
  • Equipment and material storage around work zones can be expected.
  • A Paid Duty Officer will be on site during working hours, including weekends, to direct pedestrian traffic.
