What Work is Taking Place?

In order to prepare for construction of Eglinton Station, crews have relocated water mains and sewers at the Yonge-Eglinton intersection to allow for piling and excavation works. In order maintain water service for all properties adjacent piling and excavation activities, crews will be connecting a new temporary water main with existing building site service connections. Toronto Hydro Installation for Facility Services Building Construction at Eglinton Station

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as March 20, work will get underway to install new underground Toronto Hydro infrastructure that will replace the existing overhead cables, provide temporary power during construction of the Facility Services Building for the TTC Line 1 Subway system (pictured below) and new power connections for the same in the future. The existing overhead cables will be removed to facilitate the construction of the new building. Read more »

Overnight Water Site Service Connections at Eglinton Station

What Work is Taking Place?

In order to prepare for construction of Eglinton Station, crews have relocated water mains and sewers at the Yonge-Eglinton intersection to allow for piling and excavation works. In order to complete the next stage of the work, crews will be connecting the new temporary main with the existing site service connections. The following properties may lose water service during the connections:

Upcoming Works at Eglinton Station: Next Phase of Support of Excavation

What Work is Taking Place?

Support of excavation work, also known as shoring, has commenced to make way for the future Eglinton interchange station. This work will include pile installation, jet grouting and road deck installation. Shoring will be conducted in phases, beginning in the former TTC bus depot on the southeast corner of Yonge and Eglinton and along the south side of Eglinton Avenue between Duplex Avenue and Holly Street.  Read more »

Associated Works at Eglinton Station

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing works at 90 Eglinton Avenue East, crews will be delivering concrete at the site beginning as early as Monday, February 12 to Sunday, April 15, 2018. To facilitate this delivery, concrete trucks will be arriving to site from the east along Eglinton Avenue East, turn down Dunfield Avenue and reverse into the construction site.   Read more »
