*CANCELLED* Laneway Closure for Crane Operations: February 3-5, 2020

UPDATE February 3 - This work has been CANCELLED. The laneway will not be closed on the specified dates.

What Work is Taking Place?

On Monday February 3, beginning at 7:00 a.m. crews at Forest Hill will close the Hilltop Road-Bathurst Street laneway behind the Secondary Entrance for crane operations. The crane will be removing struts and walers within the station box. The pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will be closed while the crane is in operation for safety purposes. Crews will be working from 7:00am – 7:00pm from Monday February 3 until Wednesday February 5, 2020. The laneway and pedestrian walkway will only be closed while the crane is in operation.

Hours of Work

• Monday February 3, 2020 until Wednesday February 5, 2020
• The laneway and pedestrian walkways will be intermittently closed from 7:00am until 7:00pm daily.
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
• This work may be longer or shorter than expected

What to Expect

• The Hilltop Rd-Bathurst St laneway will be closed behind the Secondary Entrance site
• The pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will be temporarily closed during this activity
• Property access will be maintained
• Expect delays when travelling near work zones
• Motorists can expect delays when accessing the laneway

Traffic Details

• No through access in the Hilltop Rd-Bathurst St laneway will be permitted
• Bathurst St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open during this work
• Peveril Hill Rd N will remain closed at Eglinton during this work
• The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Ave W will remain closed at Secondary Entrance

Pedestrian Details

• The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Ave W will remain closed at Secondary Entrance
• The pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will be temporarily closed during this activity
• Pedestrians can cross Eglinton at Rostrevor Rd to the west and Bathurst St to the east

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
