BUSINESS FEATURE OF THE WEEK: TERRA & MARE
Terra & Mare
1114 Eglinton Avenue W, 416-783-5829
Terra & Mare, located close to Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue West, is an Italian restaurant that caters to the neighbourhood.
“While we are very strong with the seafood,” explains Miguel, Manager at Terra & Mare, “We also recognize many in the neighbourhood do not eat seafood, so we also serve a vegetarian option for traditional seafood and meat dishes.”
For example, Terra & Mare serves a mushroom carpaccio, which is usually a beef dish.
Miguel’s personal favourite is the shrimp and scallops pasta. And, “our pasta, pizza dough and bread are homemade,” says Miguel.
In addition to an extensive Italian menu, Terra & Mare also serves other European dishes such as paella.
Every day, there is a lunch special between $10-15.
“Do save room for dessert,” says Miguel. “We also have a very special Rocher ice cream. It’s simply divine!”
Frequenting local businesses – particularly during construction – is something the whole community should support! The Eglinton corridor offers a rich array of shops, restaurants and things to see and do.
